When you think about it, twenty five years is a really long time. Although it already existed, the internet was just in its infantile stages and was far more primitive than it is today. Digital cameras, cell phones, and HD televisions have all become commonplace, an entire generation has been born and grown up... twenty five years. That’s a quarter century! So much has come and gone in that time, but we’ve been here through it all because it was twenty five years ago that Royal Distributing opened its doors to the public. We’ve certainly had to adapt to keep up with customer demand and market trends, but we have evolved from modest beginnings to become Canada’s Powersports leader.
From the company’s inception there were less than five employees working out of an old barn, taking mail order calls for snowmobile parts and accessories. Back then the only way we had to verify inventory was to actually go back to the stock shelves to physically check! Technological advances have definitely helped us progress into what we are today with four retail store locations and nearly two hundred employees. With our state-of-the-art warehousing and shipping facility, we cater to customers across Canada getting them what they need in an efficient professional manner and we pride ourselves in providing excellent customer service. We are excited to start our 25th snowmobile season and get back out on the trails with other enthusiasts like yourself, so it’s time to gear up and tune up your sled because remember: winter is coming...
The CMRC series is always exciting and the 2015 season did not disappoint. Kaven Benoit was back to defend his title in the MX2 class for the Royal Distributing Fox KTM Factory team. For the 2014 season he won riding his 2-stroke and 4-stroke KTMs. This caused the CMRC to change their rules for the 2015 season so riders had to choose one or the other. It was a tough decision but Kaven stuck with his 2-stroke which turned out to be the right call because he won the #1 plate over a field of competitive racers riding 4-stroke models! His teammate Cole Thompson also had an outstanding season capping off the MX1 class at the final race in Walton in fourth place overall. We are proud of Kaven and Cole for their achievements and for representing the team so well as great ambassadors for the sport.
We are happy to once again support David Joanis and Logan Christian from Christian Brothers Arctic Cat race team in the upcoming ISOC series (www.snocross.com). With both racers having impressive top ten finishes last winter in such a tough field of competition, we wish them all the best for the 2016 season and look forward to watching them back out on the track. They will also both be traveling north of the border once the ISOC series has come to an end to compete in the last few rounds of the CSRA series, so they may be coming to an event near you!
We have been catering to our customers’ needs, providing exceptional service for twenty five years and we take great pride in what we do. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our loyal customers for relying on us to keep them out on the Ride and we look forward to continuing that service for years to come. Have a great season. Ride hard, Ride often, and Ride safe.
All the best from the Royal Crew.
