Maintenance: Check your spark arrestor screen from time to time to see that it is free flowing and not clogged. The easiest way to clean the spark arrestor is to remove it from the exhaust then soak the spark arrestor in oven cleaner. Wait for a few minutes, then clean the remaining residue with a wire brush. Keeping the spark arrestor clean will increase exhaust flow and performance.

Notes: We recommend re-jetting the exhaust whenever a Spark Arrestor is installed. Failure to do so can lead to several problems and can damage the exhaust and void the warranty. You can use the Spark Arrestor with a Torque Range Modifier at the same time. Spark Arrestor can be installed on all HMF exhaust series. Periodic cleaning of the Spark Arrestor Screen with carb cleaner will help to remove Carbon Build Up on the screen.
